ART of NUANCE on FRANCOISE-CAUVIN's works...

« Art is a department of aberrations. »
Jean Dubuffet

Definitely graphic, these curious acrylic totems seem to be a chaotic aggregation of many symbols, curves, shapes, and lines in various colors. Despite this, Françoise Cauvin-Monet succeeded in achieving a perfect balance and extreme pleasantness. The art of composition, the interweaving of tones, the use of dark colors to underline or contrast with the smoothness of a diluted pigment. The choice of a bold stroke alongside the finesse of a sinuous line, a face springing, or a bird fluttering its wings are all signs of the artist's sheer enjoyment; these are the roots of magnificent abstract cathedrals.

"I want to paint the air in which the bridge, the house, the boat are to be found. The beauty of the air where they are,
and it is nothing other than the impossible."
Claude Monet
