ART of NUANCE on FRANCOISE-CAUVIN's works...
« Art is a department of aberrations. »
Jean Dubuffet
Definitely graphic, these curious acrylic totems seem to be a chaotic aggregation of many symbols,
curves, shapes, and lines in various colors. Despite this, Françoise Cauvin-Monet succeeded in
achieving a perfect balance and extreme pleasantness. The art of composition, the interweaving of
tones, the use of dark colors to underline or contrast with the smoothness of a diluted pigment. The
choice of a bold stroke alongside the finesse of a sinuous line, a face springing, or a bird fluttering
its wings are all signs of the artist's sheer enjoyment; these are the roots of magnificent abstract
cathedrals.
